Have a Need for Speed?

June 6th, 2013

Some distributors are wary of ordering custom because they fear long waiting periods and slow turnaround. But made-to-order does not always imply make-you-wait. JournalBooks produces made-to-order items in facilities in the USA, so you don’t have to wait on foreign outsourcing to finish your project. Our team is streamlined, and you stay informed every step of the process, from our new automated email update system, to working with our creative sales team designing virtuals.

Getting Started: If you have ideas about an event, product launch, or project, but want to design something really unique, don’t worry about ironing out all the details beforehand. Call our creative sales team, and we can work with you to create custom virtual images of multiple made-to-order options to show your clients. Our up-front sales team will also provide custom quotes based on your custom design, so you won’t have to worry about any hidden charges.

Order Process: Once you’ve placed your custom order, an order coordinator will go over the details and call you with any questions or discrepancies before the order goes into production. Then the order is passed along to our art department, where expert graphic designers will confirm your art proof for production or contact you with any suggestions that might improve the impact of your design. Then the order is put into production in our factory, where skilled craftsmen produce the books under the supervision of JB management. That means fast, accurate production. The final order ships from our factory in NC, and items are quality-checked before sending. We also send one free overrun to distributors so they have a sample for future sales meetings.

Tracking Order Progress: We have a new email notification system to help you stay up-to-date on the progress of your order from start to finish. Distributors can also access order details in our system, make changes, and track order progress by creating an account on our website.

Expediting Orders: If you’re working to meet a specific event date, let the team know up-front and we can advise which parts of the made-to-order process take the longest, and how to build a book that can be produced by your deadline. One of the huge benefits of our in-house made-to-order products is the flexibility of our production schedule. We will work to help you make the most unique item that also meets your budget and time schedule. Some of our “fastbooks,” while still made to order, can be produced in as little as 3-4 days after proof approval!
